When is the best time to visit Stowe with kids?
Winter (late December through March) is peak ski season with the most programming and full trail grooming — but also the highest prices and the biggest crowds over school holidays. Late June through Labor Day is the summer sweet spot: warm weather, the full hiking and biking trail network, summer camp programming at Spruce Peak, and outdoor concerts at Von Trapp. Mud season (April–mid-May) and the weeks right after foliage (late October) are genuine shoulder seasons with lower rates and reduced services.
