What this means in practice

• The price you pay for a hotel, resort, or vacation rental is the same whether you book through our affiliate link or go to the booking site directly.
• Commissions vary by partner and typically range from 2% to 10% of the booking value.
• We rely entirely on affiliate commissions to fund the site — we do not run paid ads or accept sponsored content.

Editorial independence

Our FamilyFactor scores are calculated using a documented methodology that does not consider affiliate commission rates. A property cannot pay to be added to our database, pay to improve its score, or pay for editorial favor. We do not accept comped stays or free upgrades in exchange for positive coverage.

If we receive a free stay for editorial review (rare), we disclose it on the property page.
