Moon Palace is 123 acres and more than 3,000 rooms across Sunrise, Nizuc, and the adults-leaning Grand. That is why multi-gen groups book it: different ages can occupy different zones and still share an all-inclusive wristband. Standard Superior Deluxe rooms are 550 square feet. Every room has a double hydro-spa jacuzzi. Family Deluxe sleeps six.
Kid split is real: splash park for under 8, Playroom for 4–12, Wired+ for teens (bowling, billiards, arcade, DJ nights). The FlowRider double and the zipline are in the rate. Fourteen restaurants, no reservations. Location is the tax: about 20 minutes south of the Hotel Zone, 25 minutes from CUN. If you want to leave for dinner, budget a taxi. Beach quality is Cancun-variable, including sargassum weeks.
Hyatt Ziva Cancun — peninsula and food
Hyatt Ziva Cancun sits on the northern tip of the Hotel Zone with three beach exposures: a calm bay, an active water-sports side, and a social beach by the main pool. Family-only — it does not mix with Hyatt Zilara. KidZ Club runs 9am–10pm for ages 4–12. Teen Club has esports and a mocktail bar. Sixteen restaurants and seven bars, no upcharge on premium cuts.
The on-site waterpark is compact: a few slides, a splash zone, a short lazy river. It is not Moon Palace's FlowRider-plus-acreage story. Food and the three beaches are why Ziva scores 91 against Moon Palace's 90. Airport transfer is 20–25 minutes, Hotel Zone side.
