The honest review

Playa Linda Beach Resort is a timeshare-model property directly on Palm Beach, Aruba's main high-rise resort strip, and its defining feature is unit range: a studio that sleeps 4, up to a full townhome that can sleep a group of 8, with one- and two-bedroom suites in between. Every unit, regardless of size, includes a full kitchen and a private terrace — ground-floor units go a step further with a private garden and a BBQ grill, a genuine rarity on this stretch of beach.

The timeshare structure is worth explaining plainly, since it changes expectations relative to a standard hotel. The resort is owned by individual timeshare owners, and while a share of inventory is rented out by owners directly through marketplaces, non-owner travelers can also book rooms through standard hotel-booking channels the same way they would any resort — availability and exact unit assignment can vary more than at a straightforward hotel, so it's worth confirming your unit category and view before paying.

On the family side, the resort runs a Kids Club for ages 4-12, Monday through Saturday, with a weekly schedule of arts and crafts, games, and beach scavenger hunts run out of a dedicated activity center — a real, staffed program, if not the multi-age-tiered infrastructure of the destination's largest all-inclusives. An arcade/game room and a separate children's pool round out the family-specific amenities, and babysitting is available on request for parents who want an evening out.

The location is a strong card: Palm Beach is Aruba's most developed, walkable resort strip, with restaurants, casinos, and shopping within easy reach, and the beach itself is calm and family-swimmable. On-site, the recently renovated free-form pool with a waterfall and Jacuzzis gives families a reason to stay on-property some days, and an oceanfront Italian restaurant plus a beach bar cover dining without requiring every meal to be self-catered from the kitchen.

Who this fits: families and multi-gen groups who want real kitchen space and flexibility in group size (a studio for a couple, a townhome for an extended family), and who are comfortable booking a timeshare-model property through a standard travel site rather than a traditional hotel. Families who want a guaranteed, hotel-standard front-desk experience with no unit-to-unit variability should compare against the area's branded hotel-chain resorts instead.
