County Hall itself is a Grade II-listed former seat of London government directly across the Thames from the Houses of Parliament, and the hotel occupies part of the building, putting guests a two-minute walk from the London Eye and Westminster Bridge.

Family rooms here pair two single beds with a pull-out sofa bed, sleeping up to four, and children under 16 stay free when sharing a room with an adult, with breakfast included for them too — a real cost saver over a multi-night stay. Cots are available at no extra charge for younger children. The in-house Thyme restaurant handles both the unlimited breakfast and evening meals, which matters in this part of London, where a family dinner out can easily run $150+ for four.

The honest tradeoff: this is a Premier Inn, not a boutique hotel.
