The honest review

The Ritz-Carlton, Turks & Caicos sits on Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales, the same 12-mile arc of white sand and turquoise water that anchors most of this catalog's Turks and Caicos entries — and the five-star property delivers on that setting as well as any resort on the island.

Ritz Kids is a genuine program here, not marketing gloss: a dedicated indoor/outdoor club for ages 4-12 with playgrounds, napping pods, and a video-game-and-movie room, running daily activities organized around land, water, environmental responsibility, and local culture. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance, which is worth planning around rather than assuming walk-in availability. Below age 4, there's no dedicated programming — younger toddlers are welcome resort-wide but won't have a structured club to drop into.

The pool setup splits family and adult space cleanly: a family recreation pool with cabanas, and a separate adults-only pool for parents who want quiet time without leaving the property. Complimentary kayaks and paddleboards cover casual water time without an extra rental fee. Dining runs across five venues — Coralli's oceanfront Mediterranean menu and BLT Steak are the standouts — but none of it is bundled into the room rate. This is not an all-inclusive resort, and families should budget for it accordingly on top of an already premium nightly rate.

Room-wise, most categories are standard ocean-view rooms rather than suites with kitchens, though connecting rooms and Club-level lounge access are available, and the Residences add penthouse units with private rooftop plunge pools for families who want more space and are willing to pay considerably more for it.

Pricing is where families need to be honest with themselves: this is Grace Bay's top luxury tier, commonly running well over $1,000/night before meals, with no all-inclusive plan or in-room kitchen to blunt the daily spend. Families who want the Ritz Kids program and Grace Bay's best beach at a five-star service level, and who have the budget for a la carte luxury dining on top of the room rate, will find this delivers. Families balancing cost more carefully — or who want kitchens and bundled dining — should look at Grace Bay Club's villa side or one of the island's all-inclusive options instead.
