The honest review

London Bridge Resort earns its reputation as Lake Havasu City's most family-practical hotel through sheer room size. The property is suite-only — 122 units across studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom configurations — and the two-bedroom option is a genuine find for families. It sleeps six with a queen in each bedroom plus a queen sleeper sofa in the living area, includes two bathrooms, a full kitchenette, two flat-screen TVs, and a private balcony. For a family of four or five, the space is transformative compared to cramming into a standard double-queen hotel room.

The pool complex is the resort's other headline feature. Three outdoor pools are on site, anchored by a main pool with a 94-foot waterslide that draws elementary-age kids and tweens almost magnetically. There's also a separate children's splash pool for younger guests, plus hot tubs. The pools are open seasonally and see heavy use in summer, but the three-pool setup means there's generally room to find a chair.

The location is the resort's geographical trump card: it sits directly adjacent to the London Bridge, the actual 1831 London Bridge that was dismantled, shipped from England, and reassembled here in 1971. Walking to the bridge for photos and exploring the English Village shops below it takes about five minutes from the resort's front entrance. Kids find the backstory genuinely fascinating, and it gives the trip a built-in story to tell back at school.

The marina on property rents jet skis, paddle boats, and canoes, giving families lake access without needing a boat or trailer. A nine-hole golf course runs alongside the property for parents who want a round while older kids use the pool. Two restaurants handle dining needs, from casual meals to sit-down dinners.

Honest notes: some guest reviews flag that the rooms are showing age in the older wings — cosmetically dated rather than dirty or broken. The nightclub on property (Kokomo Havasu) operates on weekend nights and can add noise for families in nearby suites; rooms on the golf course or upper floors tend to be quieter. Rates climb considerably on peak summer weekends. That said, for families prioritizing room space, a landmark attraction within walking distance, and multiple pools, London Bridge Resort consistently delivers.
