The honest review

Camp Creek Inn opened in 2023 as part of the St. Joe Company's growing 30A portfolio, and it has moved quickly to become one of the most compelling family resort options on the Florida Panhandle. It earned AAA Four Diamond status in 2026 and was a finalist for Preferred Hotels & Resorts' Best New Hotel-Resort. For families, those accolades are less interesting than the waterslide, but the operational polish behind them shows up in ways that matter: attentive staffing, well-maintained facilities, and an amenity set that actually delivers what it promises.

The pool complex is the centerpiece for most families. There is a sprawling family pool with a 19-foot waterslide, a lazy river for floating laps, and a zero-entry section for small children. A separate adults-only lap pool gives parents a quiet option when they want it. This is not a pool you have to leave by noon because it's overcrowded — the layout handles volume well.

Beyond the pool, the property has 8 lighted tennis courts, 8 pickleball courts, a basketball court, soccer field, and a playground. A teens' game room checks the box for older kids who have exhausted the pool. The 'Treat Suite' concept — a dedicated snack room on every floor, open 24 hours, stocked with complimentary snacks, drinks, coffee, ice cream, and water — is a genuine differentiator and earns outsized praise in family reviews. It sounds like a small thing until you have a hungry 8-year-old at 9pm and you don't have to figure out dinner.

The Watersound Beach Club access is a significant perk. Guests take a complimentary shuttle to over 1,000 feet of private Gulf beachfront where chairs and umbrellas are pre-set. Two additional pools sit at the beach club. The white-sand beach here is uncrowded by Panhandle standards because access is private.

For serious golfers in the family, three 18-hole courses are on-site including the Tom Fazio-designed Camp Creek Golf Course — a legitimate bucket-list track.

The honest caveats: Camp Creek Inn is in Watersound/Inlet Beach, about 1.9 miles from Rosemary Beach's town center — you'll want to drive or bike to explore 30A's walkable communities. Room sizes are typical boutique hotel dimensions (not sprawling suites), so families of four should book the queen room intentionally. Rates climb steeply in summer, and the full resort fee picture is worth confirming at booking. But for families who prioritize kid infrastructure, Camp Creek Inn is the strongest all-around option in this stretch of 30A.
