The honest review

Paris family hotels split into two camps: boutique properties that look beautiful on Instagram but have no room for children, and large business hotels that have space but feel impersonal. Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel occupies a third lane — a purpose-designed family hotel brand that takes children seriously without making adults feel like afterthoughts.

The location is strong without being the best: you're in the 15th arrondissement, a 10-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and about 15–20 minutes from the Louvre by metro or Batobus river bus. The 6th arrondissement (Luxembourg Gardens, St-Germain) is about 20 minutes by metro. This is not a location complaint — it's a logistics statement. You'll use the metro, which is genuinely fine with older kids.

The rooftop pool is the property's standout feature: heated, seasonal (roughly May–September), with a clear view of the Eiffel Tower that rewards the €250/night rate on its own for the right family. Kids who spend a morning watching the tower from the water while adults drink coffee at the pool edge don't forget that morning.

Novotel's Kids Welcome program is the chain's answer to family travel: under-16s stay free, children's menus are included, each floor has a small play corner for toddler naps, and the buffet breakfast has a dedicated children's section. None of this is luxury, but all of it is functional in a way that removes friction from family mornings before you head out to see the city.

The FamilyFactor of 74 reflects solid execution without exceptional depth. The hotel is reliable, family-aware, and well-located. For families doing Paris for the first time with elementary-age children, it consistently outperforms its price tier.
