For families, the standout kid-specific draw is Lawton Stables, where pony rides and a small working stable give younger children a real activity beyond the beach and pool.

The Sea Pines Beach Club adds oceanfront dining and a dedicated beach access point that feels more curated than the public beach accesses elsewhere on the island, and Harbour Town itself — with its yacht basin, shops, and restaurants — gives families an evening activity within walking or biking distance of most villa communities.

Villa accommodations run 1-4 bedrooms, all with full kitchens, and most communities offer their own pool alongside access to the broader resort's bike trail network. Room fit tops out at 4 bedrooms, somewhat smaller than the largest options at Palmetto Dunes, so groups of 10+ may need to book two villas or look at the larger stand-alone Palmetto Dunes homes instead.
