Camden on the Lake is the upscale option at the 7-mile marker: lakefront king studios and one-bedroom suites, some with kitchens and lake views, an outdoor pool with a swim-up bar, two hot tubs by a waterfall, and a full-service spa. The yacht club marina rents pontoons, ski boats, and WaveRunners, and the H. Toad's entertainment complex is on site, so evenings need no driving.

For families with teens it works well — older kids get the marina and watersports, parents get the spa and the pool scene, and suites with kitchens soften restaurant costs. The resort sits in a real Osage Beach-area location with the lake at the door.

The honest trade-off: the amenities lean adult. There is no kids pool, no slides, no beach, and children 16 and up are charged as adults. Skip it with toddlers and young kids — the pool scene and on-site nightlife are built for adults, and you will pay Margaritaville-tier prices without the kid infrastructure.
