The honest review

Disney's Pop Century Resort is the largest of Disney World's Value Resorts at 2,880 rooms, and it functions as the practical entry point for families who want to be on Disney property — with free bus transportation to all four parks and both water parks, Extra Magic Hours eligibility, and Disney's package delivery and dining plan options — without paying Moderate or Deluxe resort rates. The resort recently completed a room refurbishment, which puts it ahead of sister Value Resort All-Star Movies (which entered its own multi-month room refurbishment in mid-2026) on room condition right now.

The theming is broad and kid-friendly rather than subtle: giant pop-culture icons from the 1950s through 1990s (a giant Rubik's Cube, an oversized boombox, a foosball table you can walk under) dot the 177-acre property, and the Hippy Dippy Pool in the Computer Age section is the largest of the resort's three pools. The 640-seat Everything POP food court covers breakfast through late-night without needing a car or a park reservation.

The tradeoffs are the standard Value Resort ones: rooms are compact (2 queens, no separate living space), the resort is large enough that some room categories mean a longer walk or bus ride to the food court and main pool, and there's no table-service restaurant on-site. For families whose priority is being inside the Disney transportation and dining ecosystem at the lowest Disney-owned price point, Pop Century remains the standard recommendation — genuinely cheaper than Disney's Moderate resorts while keeping every on-property perk.
