The honest review

Encore Resort at Reunion is a purpose-built vacation-home community managed by Rentyl Resorts, the same company behind ChampionsGate Resort a few miles away, and it shows in the consistency of the on-site infrastructure even though the homes themselves are individually owned. The headline amenity is the water park: six slides, a dedicated kids' splash zone, and a separate adults-only pool with cabana service, all things no comparable Disney-area hotel offers without a resort fee and a shuttle ride.

Room fit is the entire pitch. Homes range from 4-bedroom starter units up through 11-13 bedroom mega-homes designed for family reunions and multi-family trips — a configuration hotels structurally cannot match. A 6- or 8-bedroom home with a private pool, full kitchen, and a themed bedroom or two for the kids costs meaningfully less per person than booking three connecting hotel rooms, and the space lets a large group actually decompress instead of stacking on top of each other.

Location is solid but not walking-distance: Encore sits a short drive from Disney (roughly 10-15 minutes depending on gate), with the resort's own shuttle covering Disney, Universal, and SeaWorld so groups without a big enough vehicle for everyone aren't stuck renting two cars.

The honest caveat, as with any community of individually owned homes, is unit-to-unit variability — some homes are recently renovated with high-end finishes and themed kids' rooms, others are older and more basic. Booking through Rentyl's own management channel (rather than a third-party owner) tends to produce more consistent quality and access to the full resort amenity package. For big, mixed-generation groups who want a home base with a real water park attached, Encore is one of the strongest options in the Kissimmee vacation-home market.
